The person behind Metropolyd
French roots.
Based in Trondheim.
I’m Erwan Thomas, a French system designer and sound engineer with more than 20 years of experience in live audio across France and Norway, including 15 years at Trondheim Lyd.
Through Metropolyd, I work with venues, promoters and production teams on everything from intimate performances to large festival stages. My approach combines prediction and measurement with careful listening, practical experience and close collaboration with the people behind each show.

Trondheim Rocks
I led system design for the festival’s move to Ladesletta, with the Alcons Audio system supplied by NPro. The design addressed audience coverage and the demands of an exposed outdoor site.

Alongside Arnstein Fossvik, I designed Trondheim Lyd’s sound system for three sold-out stadium shows. The brief combined consistent coverage with demanding sightline and stage requirements.
